Short description: Pre-treatment compaction of thermoplastic materials for subsequent plastics processing
Application: The flat die mill compacts thermoplastic, fluffy materials such as film flakes, powders, and regrinds, as well as fiber fluff, snippets, and other bulk materials that are generally considered difficult to handle, preparing them for downstream regranulation. The aim of compaction is to increase the bulk density and ensure reliable dosing. In addition, the input material is homogenized, dried, degassed and preheated during the process.
