Every 18 months, the International Society for Plastics Engineering (IKK) presents this coveted industry award in various categories. This year, Audi AG and AUNDE Group SE won the award with a seat cover and upholstery made from PET monomaterial. The material is recyclable at the end of its life and can also be easily repaired thanks to its simple composition.
The application was supported by sustainability assessments from the IKK, which compared the new material with the previous one.
