On March 12, Merlin Pohler from the IKK team kicked off the 33rd CIRP Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) Conference in Kamakura with a presentation. As part of his doctoral studies, he is researching implementation strategies for life cycle assessments (further information https://www.ikk.uni-hannover.de/en/research/doctorates/merlin-pohler). The work is being carried out in cooperation with Röchling Industrial SE & Co. KG.
Under the title “Practical methods for collecting primary data for product LCAs in the manufacturing industry,” he presented methodological tools and case studies.
The participants were particularly interested in the deviations between measured primary data and secondary data from industry averages.
Even from faraway Garbsen, we are following the positive presence of our colleagues in Japan and their lively exchange with the plenary from all over the world: Canada, USA, Netherlands, Denmark, UK, Belgium, Sweden, Japan, Austria, China, Australia, Singapore, France and many more.
