Naturinspiriertes schneidresistentes Material mittels Mikro-CT untersucht

Nature-inspired non-cuttable material inspected by micro-CT

Recently the development of the first manufactured non-cuttable material was presented in the journal Scientific Reports.

The material is made of ceramic spheres encased in a cellular aluminium structure. Dr. Florian Bittner from the Institute of Plastics and Circular Economy contributed to the determination of the internal material structure and the cutting mechanism by CT analyses of the material.
