Using the Mflow flow testing machine from ZwickRoell GmbH & Co. KG the IKK team can test and advance new approaches to the mechanical recycling of PE foams in the “R-Schaum” project, which is funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU).
Polyethylene foam (PE foam) is available in cross-linked form. Its range of applications is broad due to its versatile material properties and is growing with the increased sustainability requirements in Germany, especially in the areas of insulation and construction.
