Scientists from the IKK are currently participating in the 33rd CIRP Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) Conference in Kamakura, Japan.
There, they are presenting their findings from various research projects with a focus on sustainability assessment.
This year's motto is “Shaping manufacturing ecosystems towards a circular economy,” on which Sahra Pogrzeba from the IKK team was the first to give a presentation on her “TexKreis” project.
Topic: Pelletizability of mixed textiles made of PET/elastane and PA/elastane using binders, feasibility study, and evaluation of pellet quality.
The presentation met with great interest from the international audience and ended in a lively discussion.
