The IKK presents approaches to the circular economy at the double exhibition Circular and Fun Design at the August Kestner Museum based on the results of two projects:
TextKreis: Textile recycling of different input streams in collaboration with VAUDE GmbH & Co. KG, GROSS + Froehlich GmbH & Co. KG, and Gerry Weber GmbH, funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) and with technical support from the Association of Technical Plastic Products (TecPart) and the Alliance for Fiber-Based Materials Baden-Württemberg (AFBW).
Fishing nets: Recycling of fishing nets on behalf of the WWF Germany
Currently, sustainability plays only a minor role in design. In cooperation with design companies and research institutions from Lower Saxony, the exhibition shows examples of how sophisticated design in particular is addressing the growing challenges.
Exciting ideas ranging from “fast fashion” to “fast furniture” are on display.
In addition to the free exhibition, specialist and special tours, talks and discussions, excursions, and special events are also offered.
