Eliseo Crespo came to the IKK for five months through the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) scholarship programme "Combined Study and Practice Stays for Engineers from Developing Countries (KOSPIE)". As an industrial engineering student in his home country, it was his particular wish to be able to spend a few months at the IKK during his scholarship so that he could take a closer look at the degradation behaviour of plastics. His project topic was "Investigation of the (aquatic) degradation behaviour of polymers using the example of tyre particles".
